Young and Unemployed on World Update

It’s got many labels: The recession generation, the quarter life crisis or very simply young and unemployed.

On air: Is it time to let Afghans sort out their own country?

Five British soldiers have died in Afghanistan, shot in their own compound, after an Afghan policeman they had been training apparently turned on his mentors.

The policeman, who had been living with the soldiers as part of the training programme, reportedly opened fire, then fled. It has sent shockwaves through the military not only in Britain, but in all countries with troops there.

Exams + internet = cheating ?

Pupils at 14 colleges in  Denmark are being allowed full access to the internet during their final school year exams.

The debate about the idea centres on whether it amounts to – simply put – cheating and means you don’t need to know the subject before you go in. 

Would this offend you on a classroom wall?
