Hmm…
lest we not forget WHYS visited SW FLorida as well. And we all had such a great time when you all came here, and hope you come and visit us again 🙂
Good point Ron. No offence intended to all you there! I’ll sort that out now.
Ros and the team,
All previous places were interesting since, I started following the BBC WHYS in 2008…..
~Dennis Junior~
Looks like it’s time for another visit to Oregon. It’s been nearly 2 years since WHYS has been here.
That can’t be right, May of 2007 was the only time you came to New York? *gasp*
Now when are you guys heading to Singapore!
Hi Ros,
I am one of the loyal listeners who don’t need to be reminded of where you’ve been since 2007. I listened to almost all the shows from these places. Anyway, this memorandum brings with it some nostalgia.
Personally, I still have a vivid memory of WHYS from India. I had the chance to be on a WHYS show from Nairobi in 2007 and lately from Iceland.
For me, the most exciting WHYS shows were from Robben Island for Mandela’s 90th birthday and from Israel.
Actually, I hope your critics will not say that the WHYS shows in the different corners of the world were just an opportunity to have a holiday!
I think there should be a special page- with memorable pictures- for the past WHYS members like Fiona Crack and Peter van Dyke who just changed their place of work at the BBC and those who left it altogether like Kevin Anderson and Anu Anand – although the blog already contains a page about them: https://worldhaveyoursay.wordpress.com/2008/04/15/the-ones-that-got-away/
do u have any plans for Nepal.
hello again
Judjing by your red eyes I think you must have been partying the night before.
Jim
I see you guys were in my country last year. Then, i had not hooked up with you guys. Please find time to come back.
When is WHYS coming to Nigeria again?
Hi
I was just about to request that WHYS visits Nigeria but looks like you already have and I missed the show :(. Please please pleeeease do a show in Nigeria again.
I would love to hear a show on what Nigerians have to say about the current state of the country, are the people to blame as much as the currupt leaders?. You could hold the show at one of the universities, University of Ife O.A.U, Uniben, Unilag e.t.c. OR one on the employment situations for graduates, is it getting better or worse? and why more youths are turning to crime especially the now somewhat fashionable crime “yahoo yahoo”
Really interesting topic going on here…Thanks alot for this usefull information really learnt alot from it and a good contribution by you on the web. Keep it up with good blogs like this.
RWANDA!! That is fantastic – good choice, look forward to hearing the broadcasts.
Ros/Mark – we met at the West Ham awayday thinktank thingy last year, work with the Frontline Club etc., we talked social media all day. I’m moving to Kigali for 18 months at the end of Aug. Drop me a line, we can meet when you’re in town.
Hi all…
Good to see a forum where we the ordinary people can have our say…BBC is making a good use of wordpress…
Keep It Up
Hey WHYS Team,
I see that you will be in Berlin at the 9th of November. I live in the near of Berlin and I want to support your radio broadcast. If I can assist you in any way, you can contact me.
Felix
I highly recommend that you watch the movie Goodbye Lenin, which concerns the fall of the wall and the GDR. Too bad I wont be there for this, but I’ll be in Germany the week prior to this.
Am happy with this program since 2006 but please come back to us this year.
Ros,
When is the WHYS team planning to be back in Nairobi?
