Who should decide a child’s religion?

Update:  We’ve been trying to get in touch with Rifqa, her father and the pastor who took her in to see if they would take part in this show. Progress is slow but will keep you posted on how this goes!

Meet Rifqa, the teen who ran away because she feared being killed by her Muslim family for converting to Christianity. Here’s what she had to say before she left home Her parent’s disagree and authorities have said they have found no credible evidence to back up Rifqa’s claims.  They plan to make their case on Monday. Russia has set up a commission to counter the falsification of history.

The country’s president , Dmitry Medvedev believes there’s an anti-Russian bias in the western media which is becoming “severe, evil and aggressive”

medvedev at his deskHis country’s Prime Minister – Vladimir Putin – will today take part in commemorations in Poland to mark the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two.

On air: Is it time for Christians to defend themselves?

We’ve talked in the past on World Have Your Say about religions like Islam feeling they are under attack or being persecuted, but now Christians across the world feel increasingly threatened after a wave of attacks in recent months.

Here are some of the recent stories…..  Attacks on Christians in India– in Mosul, Iraq- and in Egypt.

In certain areas of the world, as above, people’s lives are being threatened just because of their faith.
