Hi all it’s Karnie with you..Every waking day is spent thinking about the credit crisis. It’s certainly become second nature to me. I wake up every day wondering, “What’s the latest? And have things improved?” Today shares across the globe have fallen, despite intervention.

The 700 billion dollar rescue US deal has stalled. The proposal indicates each American taxpayer will pay out 5,300 dollars to rescue the banking system and save the world economy from catastrophe.

There has been a sharp increase in the number of civilian casualties in Afghanistan this year.  According to the UN, every month things get worse and the number of civilian deaths increase. 

What should the role of a grandparent be?

I’m pretty sure this topic will be familiar to most of you . It’s about our parents and the role they play when their grandchildren arrive. I have many friends back home in South Africa who are in these “fortunate” positions.

Hello, it’s Karnie with you today.  Thank you to Kelsie in the US for looking after the blog for us. First up, 3 teenage girls in Pakistan defied their families and chose not to marry men of their (the family’s) choice. They were buried alive in “honour killings”.
