One Young World – Sam Pritchard

I’m Sam Pritchard, 22, from the United Kingdom, and am currently a London 2012 Project Manager at British Airways, as part of the ‘Leaders for Business’ graduate scheme.

I grew up in Newbury, went to Monmouth School, and graduated with a degree in Geography with Transport Planning from the University of Leeds in July 2008. During my university summer vacations I worked as a Warden at the Summer Opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace. After university, I spent a year as an Intern at St George’s Church in Leeds. I joined British Airways in October 2009.

I’m really looking forward to representing the UK at ‘One Young World’ and discussing vitally important global issues with delegates from across the world – it will be a fantastic opportunity for many countries to work together.

Sam you certainly will see that young people around the world are in the same mood as you. I hope that you have a big open mind. Congratulations

Hi Sam! – and Well Done You for the UK! The ‘One Young World’ Programme looks a fantastic opportunity and You look ready to take them on single handed ! Have you got any burning issues that you wanted to highlight there, or will you be ‘dipping’ into everything! Seems like you have your work cut out for you – not because of OYW, but because ‘2012’ is just around the corner and things will really start to speed up but, nonetheless – I hope you really enjoy the One Young World experience! LOL and all the very Best to you!
