2 more hours of blogging…

whysHello it is Helen here.

I am on a new shift tonight.   From now on, one of the World Have Your Say team will be staying an extra 2 hours after the programme finshes so that we can carry on the conversation for longer.

See you on the blog.

This is great new to those of us in the US! Thank you. But i hope you realize, some people will say you are catering to the whims of the Americans. Now what can/will you do for the Asians? That 12 hour difference really hurts.

    Thanks, for that Tom.

Well, if it is what our Asian audience wants, I’m sure that we’ll do our best to accomodate them.

I think this is a good idea.

And I wonder, since the BBC has bureaus all around the world, if one BBC person in each time zone could be recruited to do an hour shift moderating WHYS at the prime WHYS time in that time zone.

I have noticed that people in Africa tend to post after the show is on in my time zone, so I check the next day to see what they have written.

There are not a lot of posts added, so maybe each different BBC time zone could just check in occasionally and moderate what few posts are sent in. I don’t know how the BBC allocates money and resources to each program and person but I bet it could be sorted out. And that might get more people in other areas interested in listening and participating in WHYS.

That is very good news…So, what is the NEW time for the Extra live blogging, if you don’t mind informing me and the others…

    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Hello again.
Yes I thought that comment would be censored. WHYS is very succeptible to being called pro-zionist or pro-nazi at least in public. Anyway Helen good luck to your two extra hours of censorship.
