    Re: Milan Mayor…

The media will report on what Berlusconi, does positive and/or negative, because most of the time he does is often IMPROPER and unacceptable behaviour….

But, The Italian Prime Minister has done some good things for the Italian State also…And, the media should report on the good things also…..

Berlesconi is a billionaire and controls much of Italian media. How did he gain all of this? Because he knows what sells.

Boris Johnson was involved in 2 affairs before he became Mayor of London. Would the News of the World pass on a story like that? No chance. So it’s the same thing. What’s the big deal? All politicians cheat.

Politicians are seen as role models to the public, and often enough the public feels strongly about their wrong doing as contrast to what good they might have done. And its the role of the media to keep a check on the government. Therefore the so called ” GOSSIP ” is the ministers doing, since as a public entity one should keep their record clean.

From personal observations, and what I read here, politicians are not considered role models by most people. They are public functionaries. They are selected by a vague process by people generally unqualified to evaluate them. It is accepted that most of their promises will go unfulfilled. Corruption is often expected and even considered necessary to do their job properly in many countries. We are the ones to reap what we sow.

Birds of the same feathers flock together! We expected that from his highness the Mayor to support fellow Politician in Milan. No doubt about that…but what moral fabric do these two men want to tailor and leave as their legacy upon quitting the office? Perhaps we blame the dot.com generation of sexualized mindsets exacerbated by the Internet in the 21st century; some of these politicians have access to Porn that’s why they admit ”I am not a saint”.The end will justify the means…Respect, its VKELVIN of Makerere University Kampala Uganda.
