Tonight (at 4pm EST) Newshour is looking at the new jobless figures published in the US which show that 84,000 jobs were lost last month, bringing the jobless rate to 6.1%, the highest in nearly five years. Since January this year, a total of 605,000 jobs have been lost in the States. We’re keen to talk to someone who can help us give those figures a human dimension. If you’ve lost your job since the beginning of the year, or are seriously worried about your job security, and you want to share your experience with our listeners, please drop us a line – we’d like to hear from you.
