On air: What’s the best age to have kids?

Guns, babies and Jesus is how Rush Limbaugh has described Sarah Palin’s appeal, but we weren’t expecting another baby to be added to the Palin story. But that’s what 17 year old daughter Bristol will be doing in a few months. She’s unmarried which has ruffled feathers, but age is the big deal here.

What age is too young for childcare?

WHYS regular Lydia in Canada has emailed us with this story from Australia. The children’s author Mem Fox has accused parents who use childcare weeks after birth of exposing their kids to ‘child abuse’. Why bother having them she argues, if you want to let someone else look after them? Do you agree with her? And at what age do you think it’s acceptable to use full-time childcare? Are financial pressures justification enough for getting back to work and letting someone else take care of your child?
