On 31st August and 7 September we’re recording pilots of a TV version of the show. We’ve chosen the nomination of Barrack Obama and its place in modern black history as our subject and we’re looking for two or three of you who would be prepared to appear on the show via webcam.

Hi Jessica and everyone else. Well we’re going to be trying to place Barack Obama’s achievement in getting the nomination in the context of other events in modern black history. The nature of the discussion won’t be different to a regular WHYS but of course we need to see you all, which is where webcams come in. We would dial you just as we would for a personal conversation on a webcam, but instead of seeing one person you’ll see the show. Does that answer your questions? If you need more info let me know.
And yes Will I’mm afraid dial up does rule you out. how do you cope? if i spent as long online as you do with dial up i’d go insane. or maybe that’s why you spend so long online!

Any chance of incorporating Skype into the show? It may make it easier to contact/connect to listeners and it will DEFINITELY make it cheaper to call the show.

For people who don’t have web cams, can’t they also send their pictures , with a world map in the background with a ticking dot indicating their location? Just like it’s done on CNN. At least the contributors can also be seen that way especially for those who would love to be a part but can’t because of slow internet connection like Will. 😉

It takes a pretty fast internet connection in order to have decent chat via webcam and since that may not be available to potential participants, the pic/map thing can incorporate such people into the show. If the pic/map thing is considered, I am in.

Still African culture is version & full with originality if you born & raised in African Society. Histry of black leadership, culture & society based on religious & Tribal leadership. Willingly migration histry is very little & limited upto Arab world though leadership recognisation was & is in African society.
As far as Oboma leadership is concerned in a deep diversified US society may be understand a miricle if he win because of under noted facts:-
1. He is half & half combination of willingly migrated people.
2. Popularity as black / coloured US leader.
3. Full endorcement from forecd migrated Africam Americans society of USA.
4. Expectation of Change to whome?
5. Mysterious, unknwn, dreemy & unkidly proposal or candadcy to majority of USA.
Though he win the primary so do the Maccan still they have to conveyance, motivate & attract US Majority votors by way of giving them strong US mandate towards Internal Governing Pattern, Global policy & Terror threat.
Keeping in view popularity of African American US Society in general US votors are worried about the future of White House, as they dont want to see drugs, crimes & uncivility in White House.
No doubt Oboma is totally differant from US African American Society because of his Genetic combenation & broughtup under healthy parent hood, as none of his biological & adopted parents never ever been victom of slavory.
Unfortunately majority of his supporter’s understand him the same the way they are which is incorrect.
May God bless USA & White House a great nation under mysterious harm.
