Should we try and lower fuel prices?

I might not need to ask Spanish truck drivers and French fishermen to know their answer, but there’s a fierce debate surrounding the fuel prices that are affecting everyone’s live. There are protests all over the world. Here are some of the arguments being made.

Do you protest at the protestors?

The main World Have Your Say debate today is about how to react to high fuel prices, but I’d also be interested to hear your views about the protests. Thousands of lorry drivers in Spain have been blocking roads been France and Spain because they say the price of diesel is crippling them. People have already been queueing up for petrol, And there have been long lines at supermarkets. Do you think the truckers have a right to make their protest in this way? Or are they just stopping other people going about their business?

Fuel Protests continue across the world….

Truck drivers in Spain begin their indefinite strike today. Fishermen, farmers and truckers from across Europe were protesting last week. It’s also happened in the UK, India, Indonesia and a woman in California.

People are talking about it – but not everyone is that upset.

This is a watershed, as Gary Duncan explains in the The Times of London. Perhaps it’s time to face a major change in our economies…
