Thousands and thousands of people die every year in traffic accidents. Below are some stories from the past few days and I could have listed many more. Every government will tell you it’s trying to reduce road deaths, but is this about our attitude rather than government inertia?

The times they are a changin’
Around March each year the scheduling of World Have Your Say becomes a little complicated, though many of you won’t notice the difference. The nub of it is that we’re now broadcasting two editions of the show until October and this is how it works.
Taking it on the chin..
He is Britain’s most-read and most influential political blogger, (and fellow Hammer) so it’s good that WHYS gets a mention on Iain Dales’ site this morning. Maybe not in the way i’d like though. Iain’s “Daley Dozen” of best of the blogs features us at number 4. Well, not us exactly but Tim Worstall’s blog featuring us under the title “Idiot BBC Question of the day”
