Should all companies in your country be under local ownership?

Has Robert Mugabe got this right? He’s approved new laws giving local owners the right to take a majority share of foreign companies operating in Zimbabwe. (51% must belong to black Zimbabweans.) Would you like a similar law in your country?

Do Israelis and Palestinians really want peace?

Of course they do is the reflexive response, but when you look at the events of the past two weeks, does that answer hold true? Do we see real evidence that either side really wants peace?

How do you recover from a violent loss?

It’s hard enough to lose a loved one, but does knowing that they died in a senseless, violent way make it harder for those left behind.  A number of you have been responding to Lubna, since she wrote to us about her neighbour Ali being killed by a bomb. It followed her almost being killed herself, by a roadside bomb a few days earlier. Some of you have written about how you’ve dealt with extreme trauma, and we’d like to pick up on this.

What makes you happy?

A book by a man called Eric Weiner and the reaction it’s received has caught our attention. Put simply, he has travelled the world trying to understand what makes us happy. If he’d met you, what would you have told him?

Hi there from a rainy and wind swept London.. A number of things have caught our eye today.  Do Americans have the rights to keep out people they consider a threat; do we have a right to happiness; more doom and gloom from Iraq and an old British comedy about France under Nazi occupattion is to be screened on German TV.
