Five days / five presenters

For the first time that I can remember that’s what is happening next week. Here are the people who’ll keep you company…

Monday: Tom Hagler from our sister show The World Today.

Tuesday: Rabiya Limbaba – she’ll need no introduction to some of you as she’s presented WHYS many times. Find out more about her on our team page.

Wednesday: Rahul Tandon – live from Calcutta. Those with a good memory will remember Rahul doing the show a while back. He’s since returned to BBC domestic station Five Live but we’ve persuaded him back for this show.

Thursday: Chloe Tilley – another recruit from Five Live.  Chloe has presented Drive and Breakfast over there, but this is her first WHYS. Please make her feel at home.

Friday: Komla Dumor. To listeners of the BBC’s Network Africa or Joy FM in Ghana this man needs no introduction. He’s headed for The World Today in the New Year but we’re delighted  he’s turning out for us on this occasion.

What happened to Anna Stewart? Is she still lost in parts unknown trying to find America’s Pacific Coast by driving west from Phoenix Arizona where she thought it would be (it’s only 500 kilometers)? Did she take a wrong turn somewhere and get lost? Did she find something interesting along the way she couldn’t let go of and decided to stay awhile to study it? Or did she actually make it all the way to California and decide it was too good a life there to give up, even for working at BBC? She wouldn’t be the first who got caught up in California dreaming. I did it myself when I was 29 years old. Five years later I went back to the real world.

Hi Mark. Sadly Anna has moved on to pastures new. She’s now working as a news producer at the BBC’s domestic news and sport network Five Live. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive). We did manage to get her back from California but we didn’t manage to keep her in Bush House. Cheers, Ros
